stuck in a moment...

...And you can't get out of it. That is me right now after my whirlwind of a weekend!! On Thursday evening Tilly, Matt and I packed up the Civic and headed West. The reason for our trip: John Mayer live in Vancouver! I know it seems a little crazy to drive 10 hours for a concert, but every minute was well worth the drive. That man can groove like nothing I have ever seen before!

Other highlights from the weekend: White Rock, Granville Island, Marine Drive, Tilly's random freakouts in big city traffic, sleeping in the Cocoon in the back of the car and having supper with my good friend Mike from Capernwray. Things I don't ever want to do again after this weekend: eat McDonalds, drink coffee before driving for 10 hours and reading in the back of a moving vehicle.

Two things I learned from this weekend:
1. I am meant for city life
2. I was born for the ocean
Maybe these two things explain why I am moving to Sydney!

P.S. This blog is dedicated to my very faithful reader Gusto.

creepy roommates...

So last night was interesting in this busy & crazy household. You would think with exciting lives we all lead, we would at least get to enjoy peace and quiet while we are asleep. Well my friends, this was certainly not the case last night. At approximately 2:30 this morning I awoke to find 5 other human lifeforms in my room. Let me tell you something, this is quite concerning for a dazed half asleep girl. Well apparently I had begun sleep talking and Bryda and Tara thought it would be fun to wake up all the roommates so they could sit there and play with my mind while I was in the vulnerable state of sleep. Darn those REM cycles!!

back in the saddle again...

Well...this is it. Day one of my last semester in University. What a thought! I have 5 great (and wild) roommates that have all moved in, classes started today...I still haven't purchased my textbooks but all in all September has hit full blast!! But for me the true sign of September is that lovely little day called a BIRTHDAY! That's right folks, tomorrow I turn the big 23. Scary but exciting all at the same time. It's just a little sad that I have class from 9-9!!! I guess that's life!

Other than that...here are a few highlights from my past week...
#3. Going home to hang out with family and friends...
#2. Having 5 fun girls move in....
#1. The Banff trip to see Ben Lee!
