praise...

I don't think I could find words adequate enough for my experience. Creation 2006 was most definitely an amazing experience. For those of you who have been, you know what it's like, and for those of you who haven't, let me try to paint a picture for you. Open blue skies, basalt cliffs and a river gorge, add 20 000 people praising God and it truly is a tribute to The Creator. Tilly and I had an awesome time and I think we would both definitely go back in a heartbeat!

"L" is for the way you look at me...

It's true folks, love is in the air. Unfortunately not for me, but for two of my best friends who got hitched this weekend, love was evident for all to see. Susan and Darcen's wedding was the second most beautiful wedding I've ever been to in my life (The first being my sisters, becuase nothing is more wonderful than watching your sister commit herself to the man she loves)!! But something about being part of a wedding where both the bride and the groom have been a great part of your life is just extra special!!

The wedding day was truly fabulous. Us girls (Susan + bridesmaids + M.O.B.) met at the hair salon at 9:00am and the day of pampering began. I was done by about 9:40 and had a hairstyle that I really enjoyed. I've had bad luck in the past, so it was nice to feel happy about my hair! Then we headed to the hotel and had our makeup done for us. I've never had my makeup done before so it was a fun experience. We had a lot of time to chill at the hotel. Susan's parents brought us lunch and we just sat around and had fun and chatted until it was time to get dressed. Soon after we were finished lunch, the flowers arrived (a bit of a fiasco, but it all worked out fine) and so did the photographer. By about 1:50 we were ready for our Limo!!
The ceremony started at 2:30 and was a beautiful time of smiles and "happy tears" everyone was so joyed to see Darcen and Susan exchange vows. I will leave you in anticipation for photos of the beautiful bride and groom until they return from their honeymoon becuase I would hate to rob Susan of the pleasure of posting her pictures on her blog! But I can tell you they were one beautiful couple and they had a beautiful day.

The families of the couple and the wedding party headed down to the river bottom for some pictures. The sun was shining, the breeze was calm and it was a perfect day for lovely pictures. It will be exciting to see the result!

The reception was absolutely fantastic. The meal was great, and the entertainment was excellent! Stephen and Amber (Darcen's sister and brother-in-law) MC'd and did a great job, they kept people laughing the whole night.

Afterwards we all headed outside to enjoy a sunset dance. A perfect ending to a perfect day.
It really is exciting to see two of your closest friends get married, and I must say, you're welcome guys (for those of you who don't know, I like to take complete credit for setting them up)!!!! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Esau!

your thoughts please....

So I'm really in sort of a music rut at the moment. I've been listening to the same stuff for a while now and am really in the mood for something new, so that being said, I'm taking a music poll. This is your chance for major input in my life!! So what CD do you think I should buy and why? (Keep in mind I'm quite anti-country)!
