confessions of a dangerous blogger....

Okay, so I realize it has been over a week since my last post, and it hit me. Is it possible that I have already passed through my blogging phase?! I realized that couldn't possibly be the case, so I came to the sad conclusion that my life is just soo boring and there is nothing to update you people on!! Sadly enough, the most exciting thing in my life lately was the sweet video I made for a class this week. Yes, can you say "DORK!". I was so completely consumed with this video and the saddest part was that is was only worth 5% of my final grade. Ah well...I have never been quite this proud of a homework assignment before, so I figure that makes up for it! I know, hard to believe, I, Alexa, actually had FUN doing work for school!! Anyways, looks like I'm up for another night of avoiding "The OC" and trying to entertain myself by doing other things.....

Well it's quite possible that instead of blogging right now I should be applying all this energy to my school work, but MEH, that can wait....I just got some pics back that I am too darn excited about so I figure this can take priority! Well this blog is dedicated to my friend Casey. Casey and I go back to January 2002 where we met at Capernwray in AUSTRAAAALIA! I haven't seen the guy for about 3 years and then he calls me to tell me he's in Alberta! Only 3 wee hours north of me. So what do I do? Hop into the car and head for the Rockies! Oh how I love spontaneity!! Here are some pics of my sweet adventure....

just want you to know...

Well I decided it's time I be honest with all of you out there in blogger world and spill the beans. That's right, I love the Backstreet Boys. No this isn't your typical "I think they're fun and can sing along to a few of their songs..." no, it's more than that. I can sing along from beginning to end to every BSB cd ever made...even the euro release with the Christmas song on it. Crazy, I know! So all this to say, in the beginning of September, my roommate Katie and I saw the boys in Calgary. Woah, was this ever...hmm...the best night of my life...okay, maybe not that intense, but definitely the highlight of the semester! Man, to be able to sing "As Long As You Love Me" after groovin to "Larger Than Life" and then screaming at the top of you're lungs when A.J. declares Nick Carter a single man is just too much excitement for one night! The Backstreet Boys are a legacy and if it's not too much of a pun...let me go ahead and say it...BACKSTREET'S BACK....ALRIGHT!!!

the sun has set
but my day is not done
off to class i jet

all these numbers to compute
mathematics is oh so whack

i really do not get it
numbers make me go crazy
so while in stats i sit
the world becomes so hazy

this class i must endure
it's something i have to take
i must look to the future
and think of the day i graduate

well on a brighter note
only four more classes to go
then i'll take all the notes i wrote
and throw them in the snow....
